SUBMISSION
INFORMATION: Articles
are selected for the original ideas, cogent argument, and new
information they contribute. Each article is assessed by the
editors, selected readers, and members of the editorial board
for its contribution to the discussion and debate over these
issues. Manuscripts for submission should be typed double-spaced
throughout, including block quotations and references, and
pages should be numbered consecutively, with notes grouped
in one section at the end. Footnotes are not permitted. To
ensure anonymity, authors' names and affiliations should appear
on a separate cover page.
Essays, literature
reviews, and position papers regarding issues in general education
should not exceed 25 pages. Research articles on general education
or general learning should not exceed 35 pages. Synopses of
innovative programs and practices in schools and colleges should
not exceed 10 pages. A 50-word abstract is required with all
submissions. Upon acceptance, a 50-word bio will be requested
for each author.
Authors
should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological
Association
(APA) in preparing their manuscripts. The manuscript should
be sent for editorial review in electronic document format,
either on a CD or by email attachment (the latter is preferred),

The following formats, listed in order of preference, will
be accepted: Microsoft Word 6.0 or higher, rich text
format (rtf), or simple text. Please check for and eliminate
all viruses before sending. Disks will not be returned.
POLICY ON POSTING ARTICLES ON PERSONAL/INSTITUTIONAL WEB SITES:
You may post the pre-copyedited version (preprint) on your personal and institutional web site, so long as it is accompanied by a link giving the URL for the final version at Project Muse's web site and a copyright notice as it appears in the journal.
