As we begin 2022, we here at PSU Press are pleased to be able to say that the Eisenbrauns imprint continues to play a vital and growing role in advancing the scholarly discourse on the ancient Near East, Semitic linguistics and languages, biblical studies, and related disciplines. We’ve listed some of the highlights from last year below, and we’re eager to see what this year brings.
—Patrick Alexander, director, PSU Press
We published twenty titles this year, including a monumental volume on archaeological excavations in the City of David, Jerusalem, an engrossing biography of archaeologist Seymour “Sy” Gitin, an expanded English translation of Tropper’s Classical Ethiopic and Douglas R. Frayne and Johanna H. Stuckey’s A Handbook of Gods and Goddesses of the Ancient Near East.
